Thanks from rich@cruzinperformance.com
I'd just like to take a couple of minutes to reflect on the past year.
2001 was the busiest I've had in the last 10 years. You guys and gals at Thirdgen.org are some of the best customers a business could ask for and I want to thank again those of you that used my services. I appreciate your business and hope to continue serving you in the future.
With all of the world events that have taken place this past year, I'd ask that everyone take a moment and pay tribute to the victims, the heroes and all their families.
I'd also like to thank all of our Armed Services personnel that are stationed around the globe for the sacrifices they have made for those of us that are stateside. Whether you are serving on the ground, in the air or on the sea, I wish you all the best of luck and g.o.d's speed.
And now, last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank Dirk for providing all of us Thirdgen owners with what has to be the absolute BEST website that exists on the net. We all appreciate your hard work and determination.
Good luck to all of you in 2002. Have a safe and Happy New Year!

I think that was pretty cool of you to leave us with those kind words. I've never personally bought anything from you because.. well I've never heard of you before. But after I'm done I'm heading over your way to see what you got. There's over 11,000 members here and if I haven't heard of you then I'm sure there's probably thousands more here that has not either. This was just a thought I had. Why don't you talk to Dirk about Sponsoring the site. It cost alot of money to mantain all of this which I'm sure you know from having you're own website. While helping us you could be making 2002 better than 2001 by having the advertisment on Thirdgen.org. With over 11,000 members and growing like wildfire you're sure to get alot of business. Well thanks again and Happy New Year! John

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply to my post and your suggestion. Sponsoring a particular website however presents unique problems.
I service fuel injectors for many, many other brands of vehicles such as Corvettes, Buick GN's, Impalas, Fieros, Grand Prix's, and also Nissans, Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas, Saabs, Porsches, Mitsubishis, Range Rovers, Jaguars, Volkswagens and even the dreaded Mustangs. Each of these brands of vehicles have very dedicated members that also have websites or mailing lists and they all would like to have sponsorship. Obviously, as a small business owner I can't afford to sponsor all of them and if I chose to sponsor one or two particular sites, the others could feel that they were being left out or that I didn't consider that they were important enough for me to be interested in them. My solution to this is to not sponsor any of the sites but rather to provide low cost, quality personal service to all of them.
Also, as a small business owner I have to watch where my money is spent. Advertising, whether it is done by a small business or a large corporation is considered "overhead cost" and is ultimately passed on to the consumer by higher costs of parts or services. I prefer to keep my "overhead" costs as low as possible and pass the savings on to my customers. I know what it's like to have "big dreams" and a "small wallet".
If you do an archive search or ask some of the Thirdgen.org members that have utilized my services or have participated in one of the group purchases that I have been involved with, I'm confident that the personal service I provide will be reflected in their response. I have had several members actually stop by and visit my facility personally. I'm proud to say, they arrive as customers and leave as friends.
I'm sorry this message is so long but I felt it necessary to explain my personal business philosophy. It's a little out of the ordinary in todays business world but anyone that knows me well, knows that I am a little bit out of the ordinary also.
In closing, I'd like to state that I didn't post a message to the other websites or mailing lists. I only posted to Thirdgen.org because I feel you members are some of the best I have ever worked with and I wanted to acknowledge that.
Thanks again,

Thanks for posting Rich! You've helped out my father and I in identifying some injectors based on the part number on them several times. You went out of your way for no charge, and I've sent several friends and online people to your website to give you some business in return. Thanks for being a top-notch guy.

I just noticed I never replied sorry about that. I understand about the business view and I did visit your site and you have some very nice TPI's! If I need some work done I'll give you a buzz. I'll try to help spread the word whenever I see the opportunity. Good luck this year and hope to hear from you again. If you have any specials or anything new I'm sure RCR wouldn't mind you posting it here on the site. Thanks again, John

I thought I'd just bump this post up before it falls off the first page.
Rich is alright in my book, last year Rich ran a GP with Accel for us, I saved a ton, he also made a good deal on a set of injectors he had left over from a previous GP.
And yes, I'm one of the guys who post a link to his site whenever I can.
