I know, I was agreeing with you lol. Also I was pointing out what a seller can't do after a item is bid on. Also, they can't edit it after it's been listed for so many days, or if it's within the last couple hours of the auctions end (following suit that no one had big on it by this point).

Also, you should have checked this guys feedback before purchase, besides you, he had three other negatives within recent months.. One for NOT shipping anything, one for shipping a broken part, and the other for really delayed shipping. He's going to lose his account.
I don't buy anything unless the seller has 100% feedback, and selling for a couple years, and well over 100 transactions, been buying since 2006, never been ripped off.

Yes, it's pointless to buy things on eBay if you don't look at feedback. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it's usually pretty obvious when a seller is shady. eBay has recently made it easier to check feedback. Used to be you could only look through all feed back at once so you couldn't just look at the bad replies. Now you can go straight to neg feedback and see what the problems were.

The seller kept up his same bullshit, saying I have buyer's remorse because I wanted a torque converter with a 9.5" diameter, but he was talking about the 9.5" bolt spacing, blaa, blaa, blaa. As well all know, ALL 700r4 torque converters have a 9.5" bolt spacing or they wouldn't be able to bolt on to the stock flexplate. So he's trying to cloud the issue with bullshit so the Ebay arbitrators will get confused and not know whether to believe him or not.
So now it's gone to Ebay arbitration.
This is what he sent me along with a real Vigilante for the 700r4. I included these photos with the Ebay case, that's why the comments are on the photos.

I just got the Ebay decision - in my favor.
"Final decision:

Ebay provided a prepaid UPS shipping label, but it's after 5:00PM on Saturday now, so I'll have to wait until Monday to get it in the mail. When UPS confirms delivery I'll get my refund... though I expect that ***** to make up a story that he either didn't get, it wasn't the item he shipped me, or it was beat up or something. Pack it up, leave the box unsealed until you get to UPS. Have the person taking it confirm the condition and what is in there. Take a pic, get a name. See if you can add signature confirmation to the shipping. Let him say he got a box of rocks again and get banned for sure.

I dropped it off at UPS this morning. He should have it in a few days. It will be interesting to see whether he pulls the "he shipped me a box of rocks" or "he painted a junk converter purple and kept my 'real' Vigilante" bullshit.

I fully expect it. He's a con artist, a predator selling scrap as high-end aftermarket parts on Ebay and then fighting to keep his stolen money even after he's been busted. Knowing what he is, and his scam, I can't see him giving up. I'll update the thread when I see what happens.

Ebay gave me a prepaid UPS shipping label. All I had to do was drop it off at the UPS Store. When it arrives they'll know by the tracking number... I didn't really have to do anything other than pack it up and drop it off. Conveniently, I had a box just the perfect size to fit that crook's original box in. I put the junk converter back in the same box he shipped it to me in and put all of it in a new box.

I can't wait to see what angle he'll try when it gets there. He's too big of a ***** not to try something again.
In the meantime, I just ordered a Vigilante from Pro-Built... not quite the $340 deal that was too good to be true anyway, but at least I'll get a real Vigilante this time.

You're solid, eBay/PayPal (same company now) printed that label and told you to use it. Once the tracking says it was delivered to that location, your good and will get refund. That's the address he provided eBay/PayPal as a seller for his returns ( you have to have a confirmed return address, confirmed credit card or bank account, and confirmed phone # to sell, I know this all because I am a seller and people have opened claims against me. They always lost because they were scammer's and it all works out in the end.. but once someone opens a claim against a seller, legit claim or not, they freeze your account, only downfall I hate about them.

Stock GM converters have a code stamped onto the pad on them to ID them. If it's got the GM code - It's obviously NOT be the Vigilante he claimed it to be. (even if it is Purple !)
