Hooker Headers Thumbs Up
Just wanted to say that hooker headers had great customer service and ethics. The other day I pulled my hooker catback off to change the fuel pump and noticed a rattle inside the muffler from loose parts and after talking to them and sending them my receipt from summit they sent me a brand new muffler at absolutely no cost to me. They are a good company and stand behind their products.

there's a certain safety when dealing with Summit and Jegs. they do so much business that it is just easier to keep customers happy. i once ordered a cap and rotor from Jegs - and out of the box the graphite contact was broken. they overnighted a new one and had the Fed Ex guy pick up the broken one.
Also, i am a fan of the Hooker mufflers for Third Gens. i couldnt use their headers because i have D port Vortec Heads. but the sound from the muffler is perfect in its non-droning mellowness until you get on it. unfortunately though, the exhaust tips that come with the Hooker cat-backs must go straight into the garbage. they are really, really trashy and wouldnt look good on anything.

Re: Hooker Headers Thumbs Up
Yeah, Hooker headers are pretty much second to none! I have the ceramic coated 2055 Super Comp series on my 89 Camaro, and ceramic coated regular Competiton series on my 69 Camaro. Their headers always fit great, seal great, and flow great as well! Definitely worth the extra money over the cheaper, generic brands out there! Oh yeah, to round out the package, I recommend using Percy's dead-soft aluminum gaskets between the headers and the head flanges. I put these on the 89 3 years ago, and haven't had to re-tighten them since. Pretty amazing. Any other gaskets I've used in the past, the bolts always loosen up and require re-tightening every so often, but not with the Percy's aluminum ones! After seeing the results of using them on the 89, I picked up another set and installed them in the 69 too.

I will also commend Hooker for both their catback systems and headers. I just recently installed emissions legal headers and 3" catback system and the sound is amazing, exactly what I was looking for. The headers were also much easier to install than the directions stated (no need to unbolt engine mounts and jack up the motor or remove and modify the air conditioning). Great company
