Terrible....long waits and they caiter to those buying tires over the ones just getting tires rotated or fixed even if you have the warranty on tires you bought from them. I waited over an hour to get tires rotated they told me 15 min everytime I tried to ask them how much longer they would just tell me it would be a min...i watcged people come in aftwr me get service before me because they were buying tires. I expect better cuatomer service exapecially since I payed extra for the warranty and free tire rotations and balances. I will no longer buy from them again

Re: Discount tires
That bites.
The one here is 15-30 minutes everytime. If it will be longer they ask me if I want to make an appointment for later in the day or another day which bumps you to the top of the list if you are on time. I won't buy tires anywhere else. Just Devil's Advocate.

Re: Discount tires
Always wondered about that dealer. Usually seems like any place with discount in the name is anything but discount in the price. Service is critical in tires, right next to correct tire balancing. But I've had real good service at the local Sears, some people sure don't.

Re: Discount tires
I buy all my tires from them. Always always get great service and they seem to always have the lower prices. I get the warranty and I ran over something in the road (with 6 month old tires) and had a blowout they replaced it for free, only paid a small fee for warranty on the new tire. They have to remove the tires from the rims to rotate them on my Camaro so they do charge for that but the balancing is free also.

Re: Discount tires
Always had good luck with a Discount tire in SD. We were stationed up at psns, we tried that one in bremerton. Was having trouble with a lug nut, they beat a socket on it, and hit my rim with the hammer.
Ended up having to torch that thing off at another shop.
That was a few years back,,, I wouldnt think any of the same people would still be there working.
Sucks when your left sitting watching other people come and go.

Re: Discount tires
Discount Tires online price is not what you will pay if you go to the show room. I ended up paying $46 more per tire by going to the location that the website said had them in stock. I do buy them online now but go thru Tire Rack and get better prices and recieve the tires in two to three day

Re: Discount tires
I LOVE Discount tires in Riverton Utah. I find the best price I can online and they match it no questions asked, no hassles (a lot of the time they are already the lowest). I've probably bought 40 tires from them in the last 8 years. I will NOT buy tires anywhere else. Free rotations and balances and they have a window so you can watch them.

Re: Discount tires
I bought tires from Discount tire direct and they have a large selection of tires. They also have a number of brands that Tire Rack does not which is really good. Shipping is quick and I got FREE shipping! I didn't like that their rebate cards are difficult to get since they did not e-mail me the right form.

Re: Discount tires
I haven't dealt with Discount Tire recently, but I've had very similar experiences at the NTB shops here in Austin. I got a life time rotation/balance for one of my cars. I've taken it in several times and I feel lucky if I can get the car in and out in 2 hours, sometimes takes closer to 3.

Re: Discount tires
The discount near my house is awesome, but in Phoenix there are so many tire shops that they have to compete real hard for your business, so that means great service and constant sales

Re: Discount tires
I remember years ago sometime around 2004. The one in chicago il. The store manager walks up to me. I was in the waiting room watching them struggle to left my car. He says they can't lift my car up. They are having trouble. I was shocked he said this to me I'm giving him 700 dollars of my money. So I asked him if I can assist. So I had to lift my own car with them. But other then that little problem they are ok.

Re: Discount tires
A couple years ago I ordered Tires and had them installed at a Discount Tires in Texas. Guy saw there there lift might not clear my exhaust, so he asked another guy to lift, while he watched. Guy lifting didn't pay attention. My old Exhaust got busted. Purred before. Sounds like **** since.
