I ordered a ram air II hood from them for my 82 firebird. That was Dec. 13th 04. I still aint got it. I emailed them, and talked to them on the help live chat. I feel like i'm getting the run around and getting ripped off.


They charged my mastercard for the hood and shipping on Dec 15th 04. When I emailed the 1st week of Jan 05' the lady said it would be shipped between Jan 13th and 28. When it wasnt shipped on by the 28, I talked to them again, and she said it would be shipped thurs or fri. That was this last past thurs/fri, and it still aint been shipped.

Has anyone had this prob with Ramairhood.com before?

On top of that it don't seem right to charge for it before they ship it. I just don't want to get beat out of almost $600

I have had the same problem with them. I ordered a hood and a spoiler and it took a month and a half for the hood and two months for the spoiler. I have no idea why it takes them so long.

I dont think its legal for them to charge you for the part until its ready to be shipped. i could be wrong...

How about talking to the BBB about them? Not sure how it works though......

Not sure but If I remember correctly when I ordered mine LONG ago from GT Auto it took a while because they do not have a stock of them. they make them when they are ordered. Maybe there is/was a problem with manufacturing.

I ment to reply to this and give an update, but I forgot.

I got my hood.

After 2 more E mails. (1 they replied to and gave me a ship date, it didnt ship on that date, then 1 email that they never replied to)

I got tired of the bs, so I just went to my bank, and was gonna get a charge back. I was filling out the papers when the woman at the bank asked me if I wanted her to call the company.

She called, told them who she was and what bank she's from and why she's calling. Then gave me the phone. I aked the girl at ramairhood.com if she could just refund my money back, i'm tired of waiting and it will save me and them alot of trouble from going with the charge back route.

She told me "sir don't do that, i'm so sorry about the delay, but we just got your hood in yesterday and it was too late to ship out. Wait till the end of today before you do anything and if it don't ship out i'll refund your money back plus $50."

She called me later that day a few min after 6 pm and told me it was shipped, and gave me the tracking #. The shipping company called 2 days later to make sure I was gonna be home, next day it came, about 11 am

I got it on Thurs. Feb 17th... And I must say it's a very nice hood, great fit, and finish.

BTW... She used other words but in a nutshell the reason it took so long was they was doing alot of "house cleaning" firing some people and getting new glassers, and other workers
