Reproduction 88-90 IROC-Z wheel center caps

I picked up a set of these from Hawks, it was nice to see they were officially licensed. I'm thinking they could be had elsewhere for a little cheaper, but Hawks ships pretty quick to my door so I didn't mind the price.

So, are they as good as OEM? I'd say, almost. It seems like the graduated thickness of the horizontal lines from top to bottom is a little less pronounced in the repros, and there appear to be some minor blemishes / smudges under the cap in some of mine.

Repro on the left (smudge above R and O), presumably OE on right:

They are absolutely good enough for my purposes and I'm happy with the quality. I'll save what's left of the NOS ones for nicer cars .

I've had one complete set, and one replacement cap over the years, and was pleased with the quality and appearance too.

I bought a set a couple of years ago. Never installed them, since they were not EXACT duplicates of the OEMs. It's hard to tell, unless they are next to each other, though. I seem to remember that the lettering was slightly smaller on the replacements.

Re: Reproduction 88-90 IROC-Z wheel center caps

I got a set of 1985-87 IROC caps for my DD 4 years ago. They're now so weathered that they look like originals. The clear plastic coating on them has dulled horribly. They looked great when they were new though.
