PerTronix T3005 Weatherpack Connector Kit
One of the roughest areas of my car was/is the wiring. I've got it all, rodent damage, extreme corrosion, hackjob splices, melted connectors, probably twelve ghosts, evidence of aftermarket alarm, cb radio, and radar detector using speaker wire for power and ground. It's a bad scene. Despite the multitude of electrical crimes committed to my harness, most of the weatherpack connectors have held up incredibly well, but I needed to work on some and replace others, as well as hook myself up with the ability to add components in the future in a factory way.
There's several brands of weatherpack gear on the market, and I had no idea what was going to work for me. I read a bunch of reviews, people were saying the ratcheting style crimpers were where it's at. I also needed the little tube tool that allows you to remove the shroud and tower terminals from the plastic connectors, so I bought the PerTronix T3005 kit that includes both tools and enough accessories to get started.

After using it a few times, I think the quality is good and would reccomend this kit. I was able to make professional looking crimps on my second try:
I can now disassemble/reassemble the factory connections wherever I want. As far as I can tell, the aftermarket stuff available today is exactly the same as the factory connectors from 1989 and I was able to interchange new with old as needed.
Plus, it looks like you can buy more dies for the crimper tool from PerTronix's website and use it for spark plug wires and other stuff, although I haven't tried that out yet.
