Mother's ceramic cmx spray
I'm going to share the video that interested me enough to buy a bottle. I believe I paid $16.99 on Amazon prime.
I used it yesterday on my Iroc and I was thoroughly impressed. Though you're supposed to spray it on a rag and wipe it on (and I have), I've also spray it directly on the car which i don't recommend. Here's why...
While spraying it on the roof of my car, I apparently got a little over spray in my driver side window. About 5 or so minutes later I saw what I though was dust on the window and went to wipe it off. It was the over spray and it felt like small chunks of ice stuck to the glass. This mistake taught me several things but the one that sticks out the most
Is that this product really works. It hardens really hard and sticks very well. I suggest cleaning your car really well, put on a coat of your favorite wax then covering it with this ceramic.
The video will show you just how durable it is

Thanks for recommendation. I've been considering ceramic products, if nothing, for my other car. hard to keep up with more than one car and hoping it will reduce amount of waxing needed. can it be used on rims?

On wheels? I would think so, I mean its ceramic and all wheels have a coating of some type. It comes out clear and dries clear.
Once you get a coat on you should be able to just rinse and dry for a few months and it still look clean

I looked into it but reading the label kinda turned me off... I was afraid if I didn’t like the results I wouldn’t be able to get the stuff off!
My cars are garaged and covered most of the time so I don’t see a need for the paint protection..
I am intrigued how they would work on rims... If anyone tries this out, please share...
I know you have to get the rims spotlessly clean first before you coat them.. I wonder if the ceramic would cover up minor clear coat imperfections and make cleaning brake dust easier... It would be nice to just be able to wipe off brake dust without creating micro-scratches..
Brake dust is my biggest nemesis these days.. especially on my daily drivers... My Tahoe’s chrome wheels get stains I have to use chrome polish on every couple months..
