#45G0651 - will it fit?
On Amazon I found these 36mm sway bar bushings made by AC Delco.
Amazon says yes for my 1988 Camaro. But it also says "without tabs on mounting clamps". Does anyone know what that means? AC Delco couldn't give me any more details. They only said that it's not a direct cross to the discontinued GM number but it's listed for my Camaro in their system as well.
In the meantime I finally found the 24mm rear sway bar bushings made of rubber by AC Delco. Only thing that I need is the rubber 36mm bushing. In the end I'll get a 34mm bushing and have it drilled out by a company that is able to do so.

That's interesting. In other threads everyone was looking for these bushings and didn't seem to find them. The only solution seemed to be Top Down Solutions.
Will my old brackets for my 34 mm bar work with these bushings?
And just because I'm interested... what are these mounting tabs for? Or are the mounting tabs the brackets?

Oh yes, that's my fault. Over all my research I never realised that actually everyone was only talking about poly and Moog's thermoplastic ones. Only I wonder why noone mentioned the Delco bushings when I asked about rubber ones in the last thread (suspension).

IMO they will not fit your stock F-body sway bar mount bracket. The bushing looks too meaty at the top, which would require a much taller bracket than yours.
I suspect they are for another application such as a truck. I am disappointed that the seller doesn't list an vehicle application for the bushing. Hence your need to make the inquiry.
Doing an internet search on the GM number 88912420 yields one supplier posting this info:
This product fits 434 vehicle variants.
Buick: 3 models, 42 variants between 1982 and 1996.
Cadillac: 1 models, 4 variants between 1997 and 2000.
Chevrolet: 14 models, 169 variants between 1982 and 2002.
GMC: 11 models, 127 variants between 1991 and 2000.
Oldsmobile: 2 models, 23 variants between 1982 and 1997.
Pontiac: 3 models, 69 variants between 1982 and 2002.
Unfortunately that info lacks model specific data. Our cars fit within the age range listed, but without the specific models listed we are still left to speculate if it is OK or not. But the fact that it is listed as fitting both a Pontiac and a Chevrolet for 1982-2002 is promising.
Someone needs to buy them, then report back to us on this thread if they did or did not fit the bracket. Also by "fit the bracket" I mean without some drastic bandaid fix such as 4 washers under each bolt to give the bracket enough room for the bushing to fit.

Thanks, Lon.
Well, AC Delco told me that in their catalog it says that it fits my Camaro but well... we know about these product numbers and catalogs, I don't believe in anything anymore. I'll buy them and have a look at them, it's not that expensive to give it a shot.
Lon, you are machining out the smaller poly bushings to 36 mm. Do you think a factory that works with rubber would be able to make a 36mm bushing out of a 34 mm bushing if I could find one?
Oh and Lon, look here: http://parts.nalleygmc.com/products/.../88912420.html
Here it says that it should work for my Camaro.

Re: #45G0651 - will it fit?
It shouldn't be listed as a replacement product for any Camaro. Yes, it will fit a 36mm sway bar, but 36mm/24mm were Firebird WS6 sizes, not Camaro sizes. The largest sway bars on Camaros were smaller. So unless you've upgraded your sway bars to WS6 sway bars, then these bushings will be too large for the sway bars on your Camaro.
