Roll bar for racing harnesses.
Hey guys, just a quick question here. I've got an 86 camaro that I'm slowly making more strip-oriented and I've been looking at getting some racing harnesses. Now, I could just bolt them to the floor I suppose but I'm trying to make this at least semi-legit, you know?
And while I don't have enough free money to blow on a full cage right now, I'd like to install one of those bars that just go right behind the front seats. Trouble is, I can't find a kit that fits my car! Anyone run into this before? Know of any that'd fit a third gen?
Thank you!

I've seen 4 point kits on jegs for around $180 I think. Do not mount them to the floor, when I was researching harnesses I read one good wreck and your spine will crush

You could check into something like this...I realize it's for a 4th gen, but alot of the dimensions are close

Bingo. It just bolts to where the rear shoulder belts attach. Easy to make really, that will be my next project as I only autocross, I don't need a cage. Find a welding shop to make one for you as it is only a long bar heated up and bent and then welded to the plates.

Awesome, thank you guys so much. For some reason I didn't even think of checking Jegs! They have exactly what I need at a price much cheaper than I thought.
Thanks again!
