Any good OEM looking iroc z28 fog lights?

A set of 82-92 iroc z28 OEM new foglights cost up the ying yang at $340 a pair. So im okay with finding a suitable subsitute im not going for a restored car show. Who makes a set of aftermarket fog lights that closely resemble factory? I found these that might work.

My camaro has never had fog lights, however, if you want (in my opinion) the best function for your buck, buy a set of KChilites: https://www.kchilites.com/

They have a large variety in that shape and size like the OEMs, and they are a bit pricey but will actually cut through fog like fog lights are supposed to do.

I've used two different sets of KC's on a different vehicle and was super pleased with both.

Looked at the KCs and the 775 would be the best replacement. They have the correct lens angle.

Re: Any good OEM looking iroc z28 fog lights?

I haven't gotten to adding fog lights yet, but have been thinking about using Cibie of some flavor from AlfaCyberSite. I know the Charlie's wont fit (had them in my hand) but I have not heard any complaints from users of the Airport or other similiar size lamps (Cesar, Skipper). I would probably skip the chrome though...

Re: Any good OEM looking iroc z28 fog lights?

I too have been looking into some fog lights and am appalled at the crazy $300 and up price tags on OEM fog lights (and that's without the $60 wiring and $120 switch)! I went to the https://www.kchilites.com/ website and looked up the KC 775's that graysmoke mentioned above and they looked good to me as well. What KC part number do you use, RedLeader289? Do you think those KC 775's will work? Thanks.

Yeah, those OEM prices are crazy. I think the 775's are the closest thing, and will be a good light (and bright!), plus you get the 23 year warranty, which is good.

Me personally, my z28 doesn't have fog lights and I haven't looked into putting them on yet (they're on the list though!). I used to have a Jeep and had various styles and sizes of KC hilites on it at one point or another (one iteration being four 6" lamps on the roof and two on the bumper, haha). Looking at the 775's they seem to be the closest thing to the OEM pieces that I've seen and of much better quality in both durability and performance.

Hope that answers your question.

Thanks RedLeader289. Those will be the ones I'll get. graysmoke I saw those too. I believe in the term "you get what you pay for" so I'm steering clear of those unless somebody here has heard of them before. The housing on those look plastic (probably why they won't rust).

Re: Any good OEM looking iroc z28 fog lights?

i have a z28 but mind you while it never came with foglights it looks much the same with them. mine were pretty cheap. i think 15 dollars at (auto parts store goes here) and i really like the contrast tint in fog which is more important then them being bright. even though they are pretty bright

Re: Any good OEM looking iroc z28 fog lights?

I have loved these. I have now owned 3 sets. I lost one to a poor mount (by me). Got another set, and just bought one more as a backup set. I have an 82 Z28 that did not have the fog lamps. I love the Iroc look lamps. These were the closest I have found. I actually like them better due to the clear smooth lens. They have a glossy aluminum body. You can buy and auto zone bracket to mount to the bumper core. that will put them perfectly even with the licenses plate surface.

Sorry, I don't have the real number with me. I do have the original box at home so let me know if you would like the number

Re: Any good OEM looking iroc z28 fog lights?

I used these, close enough for me http://www.walmart.com/ip/Optronics-...t-Kit/16680054.

My car already had some junk aftermarket ones, bought these mostly for appearance, I have an issue with the factory wiring so I haven't got them to work yet.
