Anybody ever use this nose on their car? Any feedback would be surely appreciated. I don't like the factory urethane nose because it warps and doesn't look straight. I am interested in this piece but really don't know if its quality?

I havent bought one, but I looked for a while just havent gotten to the point where I care much about body.. I agree urethane sucks, but from what I've heard, don't these bumpers shatter? That means one little bump from another car and boom gone. If I was going drag, (Fiberglass kinda heavy, havent compared weight though) or show car... Something not a daily driver i'd do it.

This is the place to ask, or in the "body" section, but I think the fiberglass noses are fairly new, I haven't seen anyone buy one yet.
The quality of fiberglass pieces can vary a lot with the skill of the producers. Most of the fiberglass car parts you see out there are polyester resin because it's the cheapest materials and easiest to build molds from. However, many people have seen with hoods that the PE often warps in de moulding or when heated in sun. Epoxy is much more expensive and stable, but much harder to construct molds with.
In short, you are correct to check quality before buying because it could easily be crap. Another problem I have seen in the auto-composites biz is that some companies advertise a reproduction composite part that doesn't actually exist yet. The making of the mold is very labor and materials expensive. They figure they will see if anyone wants one, then use your money to finance the mold building. Then you wait a long time for your part that may not come out well because the item was much more difficult than they thought. In the case of this part, I would want to see some pics of the actual part, preferably some fitted to a car.
PE and epoxy fiberglass don't "shatter" when broken, but they do break or crush where urethane might bend and reform. But fiberglass is also easily and infinitely repairable, unlike urethane which once it gets too bent up, can't really be reformed.
Carbon fiber composite parts DO shatter when hit, that's why all the little sharp pieces on the track in racing and why they also require Kevlar or other reinforcement for interior CF parts.

fiberglass is much more rigid than urethane and if it doesn't fit perfectly (which it won't in my experience) then its going to be tough to get that perfect fit.
and also, it will have less give so it may be more susceptible to taking damage if you bump into anything, or if anything bumps into you.

Thanks for your input gentlemen. Based on the fact that nobody seems to have any pics or used this fiberglass nose, think Im going with a quality reproduction urethane nose from classic industries.

Re: 82-92 Camaro 1 piece fiberglass nose (off ebay)
I actually am going to try the fiberglass on my 84 z28 so I do not have to bother with the impact cushion which is a discontinued part. The body shop I am working with says fiberglass would be an easier repair than dealing with urethane cover and bumper setup on the car. Also going with fiberglass SS hood.

There was someone on here that used one. Seems like it was about a year ago. I can't remember the tread or username but I do remember the pics. I'll see if I can search and find it.
