Race Ramps

I'm old enough that getting the car in the air with a jack and stands, especially high enough to work comfortably, isn't amusing. I tried Rhino Ramps but they scooted miserably on my garage floor.

Enter Race Ramps (RR-56-2 56" Race Ramp - 2 Piece).

Pros: Strong, wide, convenient, non-skid.
Cons: On the expensive side.
Comments: I wish I'd purchased them long ago and saved myself some toil and trouble.

I tried runners on the Rhino Ramps but was unsuccessful.

Hey, Uncle, glad to hear you're still kicking (I know what you mean about not kicking very high, lol). I envy the lifts.

I have the same ones in the shop - use them a lot. Plus I have the 4" ones for the rear wheels, which gives a little extra...

Re: Race Ramps

I have same issues with the Rhino ramps, I finally drilled some holes in my Garage floor and just drop a big bolt in the hole to anchor the ramps. Those race ramps are nice due to their 2 piece construction, wish I could convince myself to spring for them...

Re: Race Ramps

I've got the two piece regular ones but they're not wide enough for the tires. I'm teaching myself to weld so maybe I can make some. Good incentive to get the welding right.

I need some ramps so I can weld my sub-frame connectors but f*ck, those are expensive.

Re: Race Ramps

Hey James- did these work ok with ground clearance? My IROC is lowered and I can't find good ramps anywhere.

Wasn't an issue with my car, but it's about. stock ride height.

Re: Race Ramps

Thanks James. The issue is the front overhang with our cars as you know. Do you think it could handle 1/2 " lower?

Dunno. I'm at 9 inches from garage floor to the front spoiler, if that's any help.

I used a set of these for my slammed AMG. They are real nice, but real expensive.

I have been debating this vs the quick jack setup for the extra change. Glad to know they clear the front

Re: Race Ramps

The two-piece design, IMO, makes the Rhino Ramps more desirable than most.
