UMI Panhard bar
so i just installed a off car adjustable panhard bar from UMI. i like the heim joint (tierod) on the axel side and the bushing mount on the body side, it makes for a more possitive feel while throtteling out of a hard corner.. now for the bad, that heim joint has slop to it..... it rattels when on bumpy roads not to happy with that. i really dont think the should have play in the joint but i could be wrong. but other than that it is a good product 8\10

Re: UMI Panhard bar
Hello MakingPain,
The Rod ends are designed to move freely with very little force or restriction. The rod ends we do use are a Teflon lined so the bearing does ride in the lining for longer lasting performance and less noise. However the down fall to a rod end is they can increase road noise slightly. For a rattle on bumps it won't hurt to double check the bolt tightness and jam nut. Make sure both panhard bar bolts are tight with the suspension loaded while tightening. Also make sure the jam nut at the rod end is tight. You will want to use a wrench to hold the rod end centered in the mount while you tighten the jam nut... a little blue loctite would be good as well.
I hope that helps, Thanks for the order.

Re: UMI Panhard bar
I have all UMI stuff in the rear of my car (LCA's and on car adjustable panhard). I love it all. They are friendly and easy to work with and have great sales a few times a year. I bought it all at once.

Re: UMI Panhard bar
I have Spohn (le gasp! ), and have to say that panhard bar upgrade was noticeable, next up are RLCAs and UMI strut tower brace.
To the OP, are your mounts still good? I'm no expert, but could they may have widened somehow?
