Exhaust Pipe Cutter's
I need to remove my stock exhaust and don't have a way of cutting it off. So I started looking into Reciprocating saws and other exhaust cutters and fell into these. I'd like to get the cheapest if it works...as I'd probably only need it for my exhaust and a few others, so I don't need a $100 plus tool, unless these don't work.
KD Tools Chain Type Cutter
Dynomax Chain Type Cutter
Craftsman Reciprocating Saw
Or this, which I CAN NOT find.
Neilsen Ratchet Type Cutter
Company Site?
Please let me know which works best for all types of pipes but mainly stock exhaust tubing. Thanks guys.

My cat-back is all one piece welded. I cannot get it over the axle connected. I just need to cut before the axle and I should be good in getting the over the axle pipe over the axle and out.

Re: Need Exhaust Pipe Cutter *ASAP*
now i understand. wonder if mine is that way? i better follow this one to see how you do it.
cant you get the over the rear end part to slide forward and take it off that way? you know undo the cat at the y pipe, drop it down and then move the over the rear pipe forward?
or a buddy with a hack saw?

Hacksaws take for ever, especially with limited movement. If its a one time deal, get out the grinder or a skill saw and slap on a metal cutting blade

I have an older Craftsman Sawzall (reciprocating saw) that I love to use & has worked very well when I did exhaust.
You can disconnect the Panhard bar & shocks, let the axle swing down low on the lcas, then pull the exhaust from the cat backwards, all out in 1-piece.

Re: Need Exhaust Pipe Cutter *ASAP*
Well, the KD Tools version isn't in stock at Summit. So I am going to buy the equivalent to it by Dynomax. I need this exhaust off now, I'm at a stand still because of this. Anyway thanks for the reply. I'll let you know how exactly I do it, might just cut it in a few places to make it real easy...and to test it out of course, over and over.
-Take care.

I would disconnect the PB and shocks, but am not trying to remove even more things from this car than needs to be. It seems the more I buy for this car the more I remove and don't replace because of so. Thanks guys for the help. I just need to drive this car already. Thanks again. I'll give my review of this cutter when I remove my exhaust
