Car: 1983, 1986, 2001 Trans Am
Engine: 305 cfi, 350 carb, LS1
Transmission: 700,Edge 2800 th350,Edge 3400 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt 3.27 Borg-Warner, built 3.73
Cam Suggestions
I have a 305 tpi 86 trans am im getting ready to pull the motor out for it to get rebuilt i dont wanna put a 350 in it jus keep it the 305 but am looking for a new cam and wat works well together i have 1.6 roller tip rockers already so if anyone has any suggestions let me kno thanks

manteca eh? you went to manteca high school too. I seen your car around. Sounded pretty good. Thier all going to tell you to put an LT1 cam in it, so just do that. You should really post this in the TPI section on the site though. You'll get more input from the TPI guys there.

Without machining the heads you're limited to a max lift somewhere in the range of .460-.490. I think when I measured my stock ones they'd stop at about .475 lift.
