Lakewood Control Arms GREAT!
I just got a set of the Lakewood boxed lower control arms and am really impressed with what they do to the car in terms of ride quality and even cornering ability, not to mention the new lack of wheelhop! I had the stock lower control arms on before this, but i had Energy Supsension polyurethane bushings in them. The difference between the two is night and day! There is no more wheelhop off the line, though there is always a lot of tire spin! In the corners, the car stays planted more squarely to the ground and there is less body roll! the product fit right in with no modification and a heavy duty quality piece!

I bought a set of their traction action bars. Basically it's their LCA locked in places, and they definately plant hard. People on here have mixed feelings about them, because they break eventually. But when they do, i'll just remove the rest of the system, and run the LCA's by themselves.

Yes this is an old thread, I just wanted to add in my thoughts on the Lakewood LCAs.
I bought a new set and just installed them on my 88. I was having severe wheel hop issues. By just bolting these on, they eliminated all wheel hop that I was experiencing. Assembling the lcas was very simple. I was able to press the bushings in without a press. (used two c-clamps and two plates of metal)
I was very happy with them. Especially for the price.

Did you get the rear traction bar package? I am waiting on a reply but the holes for the bars and stock holes dont line up. My product was the 21700. Is yours the same and did you have any issues?

No, mine is not the same as yours. I am using #20140
I had no problems with installation. But they are basically the same. Are you saying that when you removed the lca, bolted one side of the new lca up, the other one didnt line up to the bolt hole in the body/rear? If that is the case, you may need to pry the rearend forward or back. I had to do alittle bit of that on the passenger side. When I bolted the lca to the body, it wouldnt slide up into the rear. I had to push the rearend back close to an inch. A big prybar and help from my dad, it moved enough to slide in and bolt up.

Re: Lakewood Control Arms GREAT!
Just installed mine the other day, no problems really good accept the bushings that slide in the poly bushings, they weren't de-burred good, and still had the saw cut shavings stuck inside, other than no problems at all I did notice the car shaking more when in drive thou, not like its a bad thing thou
