Don't remember exactly--probably left it as long as possible-- but where it is not starting to flare out --where it is straight so it matches anywhere U slide it up or down.

U will pleased if U do sanitary work.
Regardless if it is where the plastic was flared, or where U cut it where it is straight, there always be an edge to look at. People that look at mine have no idea that's not the way it's supposed to be!
If U take the time (only took me a few minutes) to sand the edge where it tapers thinner to the pillar underneath--a finished edge so to speak--it will look as good or better than the original.

It took only 5 minutes and I plan to feather the edge like you described. I will take some pictures when I am done.

Re: Auto Meter 12201 Triple pillar pod Fitment problem!
Yeah, and the wires are run down under the dash. I just have to drill a hole in the firewall and then terminate the ends. I have already figured out I need an adapter for the Schrader valve for the fuel pressure. I am trying to figure out what I need now and get it ordered. I also need to look closely at where I am going to hook up the vacuum/boost gauge.
Any thoughts?

I know where to get the vacuum/boost now by asking on the power adder board.
As for the fuel pressure, I know with TPI, I will get it off the Schrader valve. I thought maybe you had ran a fuel pressure gauge in your pod and knew what fittings I needed. Sorry.

Oops.... didn't mean to post it twice.....
Anyway, thanks for the help with the pod, I tried to share that with others too.

I have mostly been a drag racer and have always liked the f-body, probably because parts were plentiful and cheap!

Re: Auto Meter 12201 Triple pillar pod Fitment problem!
got my triple pod over the weekend and I cannot believe how badly it fits
I do not see how 'quality control' let this garbage out of the building with their name on it.
It looks like I will be modifing mine in the same fashion as pinky93 has shown above. Thanks for sharing the info and pics.

well, the quality controls job is really to make sure the product isn't flawed in any visible way. make sure there are no plastic burs, warps, cracks, things like that...but they really should check the fitment of their products.
