silverstars burnt out in 2 months

I bought silverstars sealed beams for my low beams and they recently went out and i just bought them like 2 months ago whats up with that cause at lowbeam they both dont work but at high beams they work. but the thing is they both went out at the same time. has any one had this happen before i loved them when they were working but i need to know if this is common or if its something with my car. i tried an old bulb in the same spot and it worked so i dont think its the wiring thanks

Sound like a switch problem if they went out at the same time?
Try your old lights, and see if they work.

----oppps---- never mind the switch deal.
Maybe a bad batch? That happens more then you think...

From Syvlania's website:

"What should I do if I have defective product?

In accordance with our Guarantee, "If you are not satisfied with the performance of this bulb, return the proof of purchase seal and/or the light bulb to the address on the bottom of this package along with your name and address. It will be replaced with a new bulb free of charge."

All replacement requests should be forwarded to the factory Quality Control Department at the address listed on the package. In addition, defective product, accompanied by a receipt, may be returned to the place of purchase for a replacement bulb."

Also from the website, and something which I posted here before:

"What is the life expectancy of SilverStar?

The life expectancy of a SilverStar halogen light source is dependent on the driver’s use of the lights, which vary by season, time of day and number of miles driven. We estimate the SilverStar halogen lights to have a life span of up to one year under average driving conditions. "

Try testing the high beams. Just connect a battery charger (using a 'trickle' charge) to your car and leave the high beams on for a while and check on your car every hour and see if they (both) burn out over night.

Both might burn out together after a while, or they might last for days. If they both burn out again, it could be your electrical system. If one burns out first, probably a bad batch. Either way I hope you have your receipt!

That happened to my regular sylvania halogens on my blazer a few months back. But that turned out to be two different problems....

Laters,
Scott
