Canfield Heads dyno numbers???
I've used the search and found plenty of topics for canfield head's flow #s and prices, but i could not find anything that listed a combo using these heads along with any dyno or dragstrip numbers. Flow numbers are all well and good, but its performance that is what is really important. So, anyone using these heads?? What kinda build-up and #s you got?? ANY help would be appreciated, as i came up blank on the search.
Thanx.

You are correct in sayin that flow #'s don't mean jack w/o being proven on a setup. I know this won't comfort you any, but my friend is building 383 stroker motor, and he's using a set of Canfield 190's. Dunno how it's gonna do, just letting you know that Canfield's do get used. He also kinda wondered the same thing you are. It seems noone is running these heads, yet they seem to be pretty good. Guess we'll see, sorry I can't do any more for you man.

Re: Canfield Heads dyno numbers???
I know this doesn't help too much, but I have some pics of my Canfield's I took the other day after I just got done porting them. These are some older ones.... you can see the date stamp on them 07/97. I just picked them up from the machine shop today.... they had 2.100 intake valves in them, but the seats were a little too small for those valves, so I had the seats cut correctly for them. Pics are here LINK

From what I understand Canfields share a similar port design to AFRs but dont quote me on that. AFR used to be Brownfield Heads which Canfields are based off of.

I am running a set on my 406 they are the 215cc, 2.05, 1.6 72 combustions chambers with about a 555 lift solid cam with around 255 duration i would need to get the cam card if you want the specifics its an off the page xtreme energy. victor junior 750 holley 1-5/8 shortys with 3.0 duals mechanical fan power steering pretty much in street trim. With drag radials run an 11.7 on and ill running motor on 89 octane. 350turbo and about a 3800 stall. Not saying thats great but its not bad. freshen up the motor now and fixed a few things will be going racing soon shooting for under and 11.5 now! Don't know what i pushing for hp guessing 525 range.
